The first tournament of the season is finally in the books. It is part of the Golden State Tour established in 1982, and it is the longest running development golf tour in the US. The event took place at Monarch Dunes in Nipomo California. It is a beautiful course that is surrounded by windswept dunes, eucalyptus trees, coastal vistas and amber-colored hillsides. It is reminiscent of the true links-style courses found in Scotland.
