California winter camp

With the beginning of the year comes new resolutions, new objectives and new adventures. The goals have been set for 2019 and the objectives are as follows, getting results in the the big amateur tournaments, build a golf game with a solid foundation in order to compete week in and week out at the highest level, turning professional and qualifying for a professional tour by the end of the year. In order to give myself the best chance to achieve these objectives I have surrounded myself with Jérôme Bruchard who will handle my strength training regiment and Alison Curdt who will handle my golf and mental part of my game. This is why I’ve been in California for the past month and I will be here till the 10th of April where I will head back to Geneva and kick start the season in Bossey for a Grand Prix on the 20-22 of April.

What have I been doing during the winter camp here ? For the past month I have been based out of Woodland Hills (Los Angeles) and playing at Wood Ranch golf club. Wood Ranch is a course with many excellent players such as Charlie Wie (PGA Tour) Matt Wolf and a couple of Canadian and Web.com players. The infrastructures include a 300 yard driving range, A 30 yard chipping green and two small putting greens. The golf course is a par 72 6,971 yards link style layout. With these I have been working once a week with Alison Curdt, doing twice a week yoga and 3 times a week strength training.

With a month left I am happy with the progress that I have made especially with the short game, with this said there is still a lot of room to improve but it’s also what makes golf so exciting.
